Amy Bruce

My name is Amy Bruce. otherwise known as “Coach Bruce” in the hallways of PSPA. I have had the pleasure of teaching Elem. PE/Health and Wellness at Pine Springs Preparatory Academy since it opened it’s doors for it’s charter debut back in 2017. I graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Elem. Education. My career started with a move to Texas, where I gained additional certifications in ESL and Physical Education. In addition, I obtained my AFAA certifications for group fitness and personal training. This is my 22nd year of teaching and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I have two sons that both attend PSPA, getting to work at the same school my kids attend- one of the reasons I became a teacher in the first place. In my spare time, I like to walk my yellow lab, Nellie, with my family and explore the natural beauty of NC. My husband and I are on a kickball team and -when not playing ourselves, you will find us on the soccer field watching our boys do what they love.
