I have been in education for over two decades. I grew up in California and received my BA in Social Sciences and my Masters in Secondary Education. I have taught secondary Social Studies, ELA, Art, and Journalism in three states: California, Oregon, and North Carolina. I also have a background in writing, editing, and publishing in the magazine industry.
My family and I have been living in the Triangle for almost 20 years. I have 3 daughters, with my youngest at The University of North Carolina of Chapel Hill. Go Heels!
