Katie Thompson

Mrs. Thompson is Canadian and has lived in Holly Springs for more than 20 years.  She has a degree in Elementary Education, with a specialization in Social Studies and Early Childhood.  Mrs. Thompson LOVES teaching Global Education to Pioneers from K-5.  Each grade level goes on a different adventure, where learning is fun, memorable and always informative.  Through knowledge, compassion and action, Pioneers learn they CAN make a difference in the world around them. Global Education is a creative approach to bringing about change in our society. Global Ed is an active learning process based on the universal values of tolerance, solidarity, equality, justice, inclusion, co-operation and non-violence while introducing environmental science, international demographics and geography, cultures, endangered species, financial literacy, and critical thinking.
