Nydia Lerma

I am so excited to be at PSPA, and to support the First Grade Team as a Teacher’s Assistant. I have a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from INSTITUTO TECNOLOGICO DE SONORA, and two certificates in teaching English as a Second Language in Mexico with over eight years of experience.  All of this is to say that my true passion has always been working in the educational system with children! I was a foreign exchange student in Wisconsin Rapids, WI (It was sooo cold there!)  where I completed high school.  I have been married to my husband, Joss, for the last 16 years and we have two daughters, Emma (7) and Regina (4). We have lived in many places including:  Mexico, Iowa, Missouri, Germany,  but NC is our final destination and are happy to call it HOME! One very special accomplishment that I am excited to share is I recently became a US citizen, but I also love to share my Mexican heritage, for  festivities such as Dia de los Muertos!  In my spare time, I love improving our home, going to the beach/mountains, and being with my family and relatives!
