Conference Champions! Girls Volleyball Brings Home the Title
In front of a packed home gym draped in green and gold, the Lady Pioneers defeated the rival Holly Ridge Hawks 25-19, 25-22, 18-25, 25-16 to claim the 2025 Triangle Athletic Conference title — their first conference championship in school history.
A Season of Firsts
Finishing the regular season 14-0 in conference play, the team showcased relentless defense, pinpoint serving, and an unbreakable belief in each other. Senior captain Mia Rodriguez led with 42 kills and 18 aces across the tournament, while sophomore setter Lily Chen orchestrated the offense with surgical precision.
“This championship belongs to every player who showed up early, stayed late, and never stopped believing we could be the best. I’m so proud to be a Pioneer.”
— Coach Amanda Torres
More Than a Trophy
For these student-athletes, the win represents the culmination of countless hours of practice, team dinners, and a commitment to the Pioneer Core Values — especially resilience and collaboration. Several players were seen after the match hugging younger K–5 fans who had stayed until the final whistle, already passing the torch.
This is what it means to be a Pioneer: play hard, love bigger, and bring it home.
Go Pioneers!
Cheer on all our teams this season and see what Pioneer pride looks like in action.
