Melissa Mahar

Melissa Mahar was a founding board member of PSPA and has held many different positions at the school since its inception in 2014 including TA, middle school teacher, and 2nd grade teacher. After a brief hiatus, Mrs. Mahar joined the MTSS team this year and is providing small group math and literacy interventions to students. Mrs. Mahar received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from St. Bonaventure University and her Master’s degree in Education from SUNY Brockport. Before relocating to Holly Springs in 2006, Mrs. Mahar taught elementary school in Rochester, New York and Del Mar, California. She and her husband Dan have been married for 25 years and have three grown sons Jack, Tate and Finn. Mrs. Mahar’s favorite hobbies include travel, spending time with family and friends, and watching college sports.
