Ladonna Perkins

I am a Georgia native and have been teaching for 14 years, but this is my first year in NC. I enjoy writing and my undergrad degree is in Creative Writing, with a focus in poetry. I have an EdS in Language and Literacy from UGA (in Athens, Georgia). When not at school, I enjoy being in nature, especially around waterfalls and the ocean. I coached volleyball for several years in Georgia and enjoy playing it with friends. My two kids, 8 and 5, also attend Pine Springs and are enjoying the NC life. I also have a dog, who is now 10, named Rue and she is like another child. I am so thankful to be part of the Pine Springs community and I hope to inspire children to write their own stories and explore the world around them.
