Meet Our Nurses
Leslie Brothers
I’ve been a nurse for 18 years. I received my bachelor’s degree at Rhode Island College, in 2003. I have worked in the Emergency Department for most of my nursing career. I did travel nursing for 5 years where I traveled to California, Arizona, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island to name a few states. I’m married and have 3 beautiful children ages 10, 8, and 5. Pine Springs is my first job as a school nurse. I’m enjoying managing children with chronic conditions as well as helping to instill the importance of health promotion in the children of Pine Springs. I’m so happy to be part of such a supportive family at Pine Springs, and I look forward to what the future holds.
Amanda Justian
I am excited to be the elementary school nurse at Pine Springs. I have been a registered nurse for two years and earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bryant & Stratton College in 2024. Before joining Pine Springs, I worked in emergency medicine, where I gained valuable experience providing patient care in a fast-paced environment. I am passionate about helping students stay healthy, safe, and ready to learn. I enjoy working with children and supporting them as they manage both acute and chronic health conditions.Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors with my dog. I look forward to getting to know our students and families and being part of the Pine Springs community!

- Framework for 21st Century School Nursing Practice aligns with the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child approach to offer current, evidence-based nursing.
- Garrett’s Law – A senate bill was legislated in 2004 regarding meningococcal meningitis, human papillomavirus (HPV), influenza and the vaccinations that prevent them. It is required that schools provide parents/legal guardians information regarding these viruses and their vaccines.
- Vision Screenings are offered for students having difficulties with vision, students needing EC services and mass screenings will be performed annually in select grades.
