I’ve been a nurse for 18 years. I received my bachelor’s degree at Rhode Island College, in 2003. I have worked in the Emergency Department for most of my nursing career. I did travel nursing for 5 years where I traveled to California, Arizona, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island to name a few states. I’m married and have 3 beautiful children ages 10, 8, and 5. Pine Springs is my first job as a school nurse. I’m enjoying managing children with chronic conditions as well as helping to instill the importance of health promotion in the children of Pine Springs. I’m so happy to be part of such a supportive family at Pine Springs, and I look forward to what the future holds.

I love working at PSPA as a School Nurse. Prior to working at PSPA I worked as a nurse in Oncology and some time in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. I also have my MSN in Nursing Leadership from University of South Alabama. Additionally, I have an extensive background in diabetes, specifically type 1 diabetes and I am passionate about helping other families with students who have Type 1. I have two children who attend PSPA and I feel so blessed to be able to be here with them every day. As an RN, it is such a great opportunity to be able to work with children and others to teach lifelong healthy habits that they will carry with them through their lives.
If you have a student who has a medical need that needs to be addressed during school hours, or could potentially need emergency assistance, needs medication during the school day or any other medical needs, please contact one of the school nurses at [email protected] and/or [email protected].
